What to Expect

Rest in the van after pickup from your accommodation between 1:30am – 2:30am, depending on your location.

After arriving about 3:30am at the village of Toya Bungkah, meet your trekking guide for a hike overview and safety briefing, then start trekking at 4am. Expect a steep climb that takes about two hours to reach the summit of Mount Batur, which stands 5,633 feet (1,717 meters) above sea level. At the top, eat breakfast and watch the sunrise as you take in views of Lake Batur and Mount Rinjani. Have the option to take an additional walk around the crater and lava flows.

After the hike back down Mount Batur, relax in the van during the 1-hour drive to the site of your Bali Elephant Ride. At 11am you will arrive at the starting point of your elephant ride experience at Ubud Village.

You are provided with a comfortable saddle and you will be seated behind an experienced elephant handler. The enjoyment of the Bali elephant ride lies in being at one with nature and the surrounding wildlife.

At 12pm when your elephant ride ends you will go and see the chocolate making process from the cacao tree to raw cacao, fermenting and roasting of the beans and the final transformation into delicious pod chocolate.

Have lunch at 13pm with a choice of Indonesian or International food.

You will stop at a coffee plantation and also visit a monkey forest before arriving back at your accommodation at 3:30pm.
